The JSP is a one or two semester study-abroad program open to English-speaking students in all fields of study from accredited universities and colleges around the world. In addition to the required Japanese language course(s), students are offered several Japan studies courses taught in English, as well as many field trips, excursions and cultural activities. No previous Japanese language study is required.
NOTE:
Courses are subject to change without prior notification.
Transcripts sent to home institutions contain the TIU credit earned and grade percentiles, not letter grades.
It is the responsibility of the students’ home institution to determine the amount and the type of credit transfer. We strongly recommend that students consult the relevant faculty at their home institution about credit transfers before coming to Japan.
We are a semester-based exchange program for English-speaking undergraduate students from all over the world. Thanks to our homestay network and location in the unique & historical city of Kawagoe, we offer an intimate and unique opportunity to experience Japan and its culture. Our small student-to-faculty ratio guarantees personalized attention and a high retention of the content from our intensive Japanese language courses.
Join us for a friendly and fascinating journey through one of the most enigmatic and unique cultures in the world. If you are serious about your studies and want to start a relationship with Japan that will last for the rest of your life, this is the program for you.
