In recent years, narcissism and narcissistic personality disorder have been of great interest to those study psychiatry and sociology. In the field of psychology, there have been several trials that measure narcissistic personality positively. In addition, we are able to point out that the modern society itself seems like changing into narcissistic. So the concepts of narcissism and narcissistic personality are quite important for discussing our own day.
This article consists of two chapters. In the first chapter, the auther introduces the main theory of narcissism. Narcissism, which originates in Greek mythology, was taken as a phenomenon of sexual perversion by Nacke, P., first. Later, Freud, S. brought it as the concept of psychoanalysis his libido theory positively.
In the second chapter, the auther presents the results of her study. The study was aimed at making the following matters clear.
(1) the differences between the genders and narcissistic personality
(2) relation between order of birth and narcissistic personality
(3) relation between Ichideal and narcissistic personality |
