Sept.8 (Mon):
Today, I met my host students of TIUA and my host family. And We had dinner
at "KANEKO" where is dining room of TIUA with Etsuko. I was very
surprised at a great deal of food. I couldn't eat all, because there was
a lot of foods. After we went to our host family home, we gave them present
from Japan. They were pleased, so I was very happy!!
Sept.9 (Tue):
My first host student was Shiori. I attended classes of "Volunteerism"
and "Information" with her. To my regret, I couldn't understand
English well. So I thought that I must study English more hard. Then I had
lunch at "cats". I orderd "Bear Cats Special". It was
very delicious!! In the afternoon I saw the Willamette University. And I
went to shopping at "Mission Mill". There were a lot of pretty
shop. Today's denner was stake! It was very good too!!
Sept.10 (Wed):
Early in the morning, it was thundering. It was big sound. Today, my host
student was Kanako. We went to shopping at "Payless Drug". Then
I attended class of "Aerobics" with her. I enjoyed it. In the
afternoon, I went to the Silver Creek Falls by van with prof. Duell's group.
I were moved by the beauty of the park. Then we went to the "Value
Village". After I had dinner, I went to the movie with my host family
and my friend. We saw "Shall we dance?". It was very funny!
Sept.11 (Thu):
I attended class of "Computer Concept" with Kanako. This class
was Willamette University's class. It was very difficult. In the afternoon
I went to the shopping at "Salem Center" with Etsuko. I bought
a lot of accessories. Today I was very tied!
Sept.12 (Fri):
Today I had no host student. So I attended class of "American History"
with Etsuko's host student. Then we had lunch at "Goudy". In the
afternoon, We went to shopping at "Value Village" by bus. Today's
dinner was very big and thick stake! I ate all because it was very good!!
Sept.13 (Sat):
We went to Harvest Festival with our host family. In the Festival, we saw
the ter ceremony. And I had pers on paint of my face. Then we went to the
very big supermarket and Salem Center. We bought Japanese foods, because
we were going to cook Japanese food on next Monday. The dinner was Pizza.
And we saw "Toy Story" on TV. It was very fun!
Sept.14 (Sun):
In the morning, we went to the church. Then our host family drove us by
car to "Oregon corst". And we went to shopping at "Lincorn
City". We came across Ayako, Misato and their host family there. And
we had dinner with them. Today our host family give us bag, blanket and
candle of shellfish. I was very happy!!
Sept.15 (Mon):
Today's my host student was Fumi. I attend class with her. In the afternoon
I went to "portland" with prof. Duell's group. The dinner was
Japanese food which we made. The menu was "Japanese pizza" and
"hand-rolled sushi". Our host family said good and they eat up
them. We were very happy!!
Sept.16 (Tue):
Today's host student was Fumi too. I attended class of "Human Resources
Management" with her. In the afternoon, Pizza party was held. After
we went back home, we saw movie on TV. But I was sleeping because I was
very tired!!
Sept.17 (Wed):
Today's my host student was Shiori. But we had no class in the morning.
So I was playing the piano. In the Afternoon, I visited Japanese class at
"North Salem High School" with prof. Duell's group. Everyone was
good at speaking Japanese. Then we went to shoppng at "Lancaster Mall".
We went back TIUA. Then We went to shopping too. The dinner was Mexican
foods which our host family's father made. It was very hot! but very delicious!!
Sept.18 (Thu):
Today I had no host student. So I played basketball with TIU students. I
had lunch at Mcdonald's. In the afternoon, I went to the gym with Etsuko
and her host student. Before we went back home, our host family brought
us to farm. We saw horse there. The horse was very beautiful. Then we had
dinner at "KYOTO" where is Japanese food restaurant. Today was
last night. So we packed. It was very hard.
Sept.19 (Fri):
I was very lonly because I must go back Japan. Today's moning, we were given
strawberry jam. It was made our host family's mother. I was very happy!
But I caught a cold. I think that I want to use blanket. For two weeks,
I enjoyed my home stay. I want to go to Oregon again. Thank you very much.
