My hometown is Moriya, Ibaraki. The population of Ibaraki is 2,960,074 and Moriya is about 50,000 people. The prefecture is comprised of 86 cities, town and villages which include Mito, Hitachi and Tsukuba. From spring to fall there is a lot of rain but conversely, in the winter a northwest seasonal wind blows, bringing a spell of good weather. Ibaraki is temperate throughout the year and little affected by natural calamities. Food is famous for Natto. Natto is a special product of Ibaraki Prefecture. Moreover great artists such as painter Taikan Yokoyama, modern potter Hazan Itaya, nursery rhyme writer Ujyo Noguchi have come forth in number.
