March 1998 exchange at TIUA and TESOL '98/Seattle

In March 1998, TIU Profs. Carl Adams and Hiroyuki Watanabe made their first visit to TIUA to meet faculty and observe classes. TIUA hosted a TIU faculty welcome luncheon on March 16 which also included some Willamette University faculty, and Barry Duell (TIU).

TIUA faculty (MaryJane Danan, Jane Davis, Wayne Gregory, JoAnn Seibert, Sirena Tabet, Julie Varga, Lora Yasen), and TIU faculty (Adams, Watanabe, Duell, and Prof. Ryoichi Yamamoto (part-time)) had further chances for TIU/TIUA exchange at TESOL '98 in Seattle, Washington. (Note: TESOL = Teachers of English to Speakers of Other Languages).
