Now it is very, very cold here. And recently, everyday it rains. Suddenly,
rain comes! Suddenly sunshine comes back! Therefore, sometimes I get wet
in between TIUA and my dormitory.
Some TIUA students put on coats. I turn on a heater in my room. My room
faces north. It is colder than rooms facing south. It is said that November
and December are the coldest months here. I have never seen snow in Salem
since I came here, but Mt. Hood has snow during the year, so we can ski
and snowboard almost all year.
I have two feelings. I want to come back to Japan, because I really,
really want to eat Japanese food, especially that which is made by my mother
and I want to take a bath for a long time. However, I am having a good time
in American life. I will miss this life and I want to study English more
and speak it more fluently.
I like them, because they have a good sense of humor. They always make
laugh even during class time. They are friendly. I want to talk to them
more and more. I never have had a Willamette roommate so now I am finding
opportunities to talk to Willamette students. We have some kinds of parties
on the weekends. My dormitory also has some, too. Last weekend I went to
a dance party. It was very fun, and I made some friends. I am taking some
Willamette classes. I want to my classmates and make friends with them.
