理事長・総長　倉田　信靖大学の現況「スポーツ、海外協定、認証評価」について弊学には、スポーツを自主的に実践する学生が多い。資料が少し古くなるが、２０１０年に財団法人明治安田厚生事業団の体力医学研究所（東京）が実施した調査で次のような傾向が明確になっている。要点として、「部活動は激しい練習や人間関係がストレスを生む」とされていたが、むしろメンタルヘルス保持に役立つことが分かったとしている。（『日本経済新聞』２０１０年８月３１日朝刊）本学の人間社会学部には、「人間スポーツ学科」、「スポーツ科学科」、さらに「福祉心理学科」を開設している。とりわけ、このスポーツ２1　　　　　　　　　　　　　　応じた鍛錬に励んでいる。学科に所属する学生諸君は、学内に展開する１３のスポーツ競技において、各自の能力に加えて、各専門のスポーツを指導する監督、コーチ陣は、我が国の当該分野を代表する実績の保持者である。指導を受ける学生諸君にとってみれば、それぞれの指導者がスポーツ界の頂点を極めた立場であることは、恵まれた環境にあることを意味する。本学の教育研究は、国際的環境として、ＩＴ関連のみならず、多国間関係の拡大と交流が顕在化している。その環境は、国際社会に開かれた世界の若者の集う大学へと移行していることを意味する。その一方において、留学生対応も、より厳選された留学生の受け入れという厳しい現実がある。わが国の大学経営の現象は、「２０３５年の崖」と称される。間もなく大学受験生人口の急激な減少期を迎える。かかる状況下にあって、外国人学生受け入れに厳しい条件を示す文部科学省・外務省の方向性に戸惑いを隠せない大学も少なくない。幸いにして、本学の情況は、国策スポーツ立国に寄り添う大学の方針に加え、独自の海外協定大学、更には「ＩＳＥＰ」に加盟している大学として、日本国内８大学の一角を占めるとともに、対外的には、２８０余の海外大学との交流を推進し、凡そ千八百人の留学生を迎えている。さて、昨年は学校教育法に基づいて、７年ごとに訪れる文部科学大臣の認証を受けた評価機関による「認証評価」を受けることができた。今回は前二回に続き、第三期となる「認証評価」であったが、関係者全員のご尽力により無事に受審することができた。改めて、関係者各位に深甚なる謝意を表する次第である。学縁があり、国内はもとより百十カ国を超える国々から本学に受け入れている学生諸君に、満足していただける教育と研究施設の環境を提供できているか不安ではあるが、東京国際大学の教育、研究の環境が人類の向上と進化に寄与できることを庶幾し、祈念する毎日である。2026年4月25日発行：東京国際大学　In regard to international students, there is the harsh reality of the need for TIU to accept carefully selected students.　University management in Japan is heading toward what is known as the impending “2035 cliff.” This cliff represents a tipping point driven by a severe demographic decline brought about by the nation’s falling birthrate. This is the time at which there will be a sharp decline in the population of students at the university entrance age.　Amid such circumstances, there are more than a few universities that cannot hide their confusion toward the strict conditions being presented by the Japanese ministries of Education, Culture, Sports, Science and Technology （MEXT） and Foreign Affairs in regard to the acceptance of international students.　As for circumstances here at TIU, we have an academic policy that is in line with the government-led policy to make Japan into a premier sports nation. What is more, TIU has an original network of partner overseas universities and is also an ISEP （International Student Exchange Program） member. As one of Japan’s leading universities, TIU is promoting exchange with approximately 280 overseas universities and has welcomed roughly 1,800 international students.　Last year we underwent a mandatory septennial Certified Evaluation and Accreditation （CEA） evaluation, which is MEXT’s review and accreditation system.　This was TIU’s third such CEA evaluation, and we were able to obtain our accreditation once again, and I would like to express my thanks to the efforts of all who were involved in the process.　I am of the hope that we are providing an education and research environment that is of satisfaction to the students whom we have accepted to study with us, not only from Japan but also from more than 110 countries around the world. 　I spend each day in earnest prayer that the education and research environment that TIU offers will contribute to the betterment and advancement of humankind.理事長・総長 ご挨拶 �����������������1人間社会学部 福祉心理学科 名称変更 ����������1医療健康学部 国家試験結果 ��������������1学位記・卒業証書授与式 ���������������2入学式 �����������������������2就職状況 ����������������������2　Many of our students freely engage in sports activities.　Admittedly, the material is somewhat old, but I would still like to refer to it here. A survey carried out in 2010 by the Physical Fitness Research Institute （Tokyo） of the Meiji Yasuda Life Foundation of Health and Welfare identified the following tendency. That is, although it had been thought that the “intense training and interpersonal relationships” of school sports club activities were stress inducing, the survey had found that sports club activities were actually beneficial for the maintenance of good mental health （August 31, 2010, Morning Edition, The Nikkei）.　TIU’s School of Human and Social Sciences has the Department of Human Development and Sport Sciences, Department of Sport Sciences, and the Department of Social Welfare and Psychology.　According to their individual capabilities, the students of this School’s sports-related departments partake in 13 sports activities that are available on campus.　The managers and coaches who provide guidance therein are all accomplished athletes themselves and are representative of Japan in their individual specialized field. That means that the students receiving their guidance find themselves in a blessed environment with mentors who have been at the top in the world on sports.　With its international environment, the education and research opportunities offered by TIU actualize the expansion of multinational relationships and exchange not only in relation to IT but also in various other fields.
