International Festival 2018

TIU students took a well-deserved break from mid-terms to cut loose and have a great time with their friends at the annual International Festival held on campus 1 held this Friday and Saturday. This year, students from over 60 countries joined forces to open 24 different food and culture booths packed with home-made cuisine, from Ho Chi Minh City Pho to Banana Turon from the Philippines, as well as activities stemming from Batik creating to Turban try-ons! There were so many great new foods and activities to try that truly one day is not enough, so this year the event is straddling both Friday and Saturday, allowing even people hard at work to get a taste of culture at TIU.

Talented Brazilian Capoeira dancers put on some excellent shows on Friday (June 8), and there was an excellent Wadaiko Drums performance on Saturday (June 9). Year after year, the TIU community is growing larger and larger as we welcome students from new countries around the world, and events like the International Festival help students feel confident in calling TIU their new home.
