Members of the varsity team TIU MUN are currently at Hotel Metropolitan in Ikebukuro, attending the 30th AJMUN. This is the 3rd time the club has had the honor to send members to one of the most renowned MUN conferences in Japan. TIU MUN members represent countries in two General Assembly committees with the topics being "the Role of Artificial Intelligence in Advancing SDGs," and "the Protection of Human Rights while Countering Terrorism".

During the first day, participants attended the opening ceremony, listened to speeches made by keynote speakers, and began discussing the first items of their respective committee's agenda. At the end of the first meeting, each committee produced a working paper, outlining possible solutions to the issues at hand, as a result of a productive session. The second day has just come to a close, during which the participating members presented numerous matters at the podium based on the stances of each country the students are representing.

Being a part of this event is certainly a great opportunity for TIU MUN members to hone specialized skill sets by engaging in debates on important and complicated global issues in a diplomatic setting. They are also having a good time getting to know students from many other universities around Japan. Let's wish them a successful and fruitful conference in the next few days.
