Spring 2020 E-Track Courses

Due to the circumstances surrounding COVID-19, TIU moved courses online this past April.
Japan recently ended its state of emergency. However, this does not mean that the infection is completely gone. As TIU's students' health and safety is our highest priority, we will continue online classes through the end of the spring semester as was outlined at the beginning of the semester. This measure is to prevent infections by avoiding the "3 C's" (closed spaces, crowded places, and close-contact settings).

Examinations will also not be held in person, but online via Moodle, essays, etc. Students, we ask for your continued cooperation with this.

Once preparations are complete, we will begin to ease campus access restrictions in stages. We plan on allowing students to use the library, PC room, and other facilities. Updates on access to campus will be published on POTI, so please continue to check there regularly.

This fall 2020 semester we plan to hold classes in person as much as the situation allows, while thoroughly implementing measures to prevent infections. However, we are also planning measures such as online and on-demand classes in consideration of students who are still unable to enter Japan by the start of the fall semester.

Further details will be communicated via POTI in late July.
