ใVisit by the Ambassador of Bangladesh to Japan, H.E. Mr. Shahabuddin Ahmed, and Economic Minister Mr. Syed Nasir Ershadใ
On 2022 October 12th, TIU welcomed His Excellency Mr. Shahabuddin Ahmed, Ambassador of Bangladesh to Japan, and Mr. Syed Nasir Ershad, Economic Minister, to the university’s campus. Their visit started with a meeting with Mr. Nobuyasu Kurata, Chancellor and Chair of TIU. Chancellor Kurata discussed how TIU welcomes Bangladeshi students, and how these students work hard in their studies and in the TIU community. Ambassador Ahmed praised TIU for its support of Bangladeshi students. The two then discussed the education system of Bangladesh and shared opinions on how to help more Bangladeshi students to study at TIU. They expressed their commitment to deepening ties through continued cooperation.
After their meeting with Chancellor Kurata, Ambassador Ahmed and Minister Ershad had lunch with Bangladeshi students currently studying at TIU, then observed the TIU Model United Nations (MUN) club’s practice debate on the theme “Internet Access as a Fundamental Human Right.” Our visitors had high praise for the MUN team, as they were impressed by the students’ passion and professionalism.
Through their visit, Ambassador Ahmed and Minister Ershad gained a deeper understanding of TIU’s high quality education and student life. Our university will strive to further strengthen our relationship with the Embassy of Bangladesh, and will continue helping students develop into internationally minded leaders who contribute to society at the local and global levels.
