Policy on the Protection of Personal Information at Tokyo International University Foundation

Tokyo International University Foundation defines its policy on the protection of personal information as follows, and makes every effort to protect personal information.

Observing Personal Information-related Laws and Regulations
Tokyo International University Foundation (hereinafter referred to as the โFoundationโ ) observes the Act on the Protection of Personal Information and related laws and regulations, as well as Personal Information Protection Law Guidelines. -
Acquisition and Retention of Personal Information
The Foundation expresses the purpose for which personal information will be used when acquiring such information, and acquires it through legal and fair means. -
Usage of Personal Information
The Foundation uses personal information to the extent required for operations at the Foundation and education and research at its schools, within the scope of the expressed purpose of use. -
Management of Personal Information
The Foundation consistently ensures the accuracy and security of personal information it has acquired, and takes measures to ensure security including information security measures for personal information databases.
The Foundation also formulates rules on the protection of personal information and establishes and maintains relevant organizations and management structures to reliably protect personal information within the Foundation, including at its schools. The rules are published on a website. -
Provision of Personal Data to Third Parties
Personal data is not provided to third parties without the prior consent of the person to whom it pertains, except when stipulated by laws and regulations. -
Disclosure, Correction, Suspension of Use, Deletion, etc. of Retained Personal Data
When receiving a request for disclosure, deletion, correction, suspension of use, or deletion of personal data retained by the Foundation from the person to whom the data pertains, we quickly take the appropriate action after first checking the validity of the request. -
